I haven’t used the cordless strimmer yet but the robotic mower is a brilliant piece of kit. I ordered a YardForce Easymow a couple of weeks ago, but sent it back. It was anything but intelligent and kept either getting stuck, not being able to dock in the charging station and wouldn’t even tackle the slightest slope. So up came the boundary wire, everything back in the box and it was returned.
Luckily a new batch of these highly rated robotic mowers became available this week so I ordered one together with the cordless strimmer as part of the deal. It obviously means you get a strimmer, but more importantly you get an additional battery, which can be shared between all devices. Anyway, I charged up the battery, placed it on the back lawn and pressed start.
Now our lawn at the moment before we have our garden landscaped, in a few weeks, has a few hills to negotiate. The YardForce just couldn’t cope and the tilt sensor just shut it down. This little mower took on every challenge the lawn threw at it. It mowed for just under four hours before the battery died.
The beauty of this little machine is that I can put a charged battery back in it and take out to my front lawn using the handy carrying handle to let it do it’s thing, something I wouldn’t have been able to do with the YardForce without purchasing (at considerable cost) another charging station and installing boundary wire.
Ok it’s not as technically advanced as other machines you can get, that have an app, mow your lawn automatically and go back to their charger when it starts raining, but simple is best sometimes. With this machine you don’t need outdoor electrics, boundary wire and it’s less likely to be stolen, as you can safely store it away once it has finished. I would highly recommend this little robotic lawnmower.
